New work: Harvard Pilgrim Health Care

We are excited to share two new spots we worked on for Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Hill Holliday

On the first we created the sound of Fenway Park and the fans chanting “Let’s Go Red Sox “

We carefully designed a track using various crowd noises combined with recordings of ourselves. The sound is something we are familiar with so it was important to us match that we come up with an authentic version the of the chant.

Let's Go Red Sox

We were happy to have an opportunity to create some music as well. For the other spot we were tasked with creating a new version of the classic song “If You’re Happy and You Know It”. We had to rework the arrangement and come up with a version that would fit the new lyrics as well as the movement of the overall spot.

The request was for a percussive and human-sounding piece of music that was not overly childish. We started banging on some pots and pans and tried a variety of household items. At one point the director jokingly suggested we throw a piano across the room and that was the inspiration we needed. In the end, we added dulcimer, piano, upright bass, and a variety of hand percussion and stomps. (including a box of rocks and a meditation chime)

We are proud of the final outcome and the work we put into the process.
